Multiple Faculty Positions Computational Biomedical Science Center for Computational Life Science job with Cleveland Clinic Computational Life Sciences

The Center for Computational Life Sciences is a new, interdisciplinary research center at Cleveland Clinic, which will be led by Dr. Michael J. Zhai, a professor of biomedical engineering and computational medicine.

The Cleveland Clinic is a non-profit academic medical center that provides comprehensive healthcare services to patients and conducts medical research. The Lerner College of Medicine is a part of the Cleveland Clinic, offering a wide range of medical education programs and opportunities for students and faculty.

Demonstrated ability to lead a multidisciplinary team. A successful record of developing research partnerships and collaborative relationships with universities, industry, and research laboratories. Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently, outstanding written and oral communication skills, good organizational skills. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Major duties include Conduct high-quality research in collaboration with a diverse, interdisciplinary team of doctoral-level data scientists and engineers within the Center and researchers and physicians across the Cleveland Clinic institutes and outside of Cleveland Clinic Support leaders (intramural or extramural) to develop data and computing governance and implementation strategy Design and carry out original computational research and its applications in biomedicine

David R. Lidar, PhD, is a Professor of Physics and Electrical Engineering at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University.

This will be accomplished by leveraging our existing strengths and creating new opportunities for collaboration with other organizations, including academic institutions, industry, and government. Our goal is to create a world-class center for innovation that will help us achieve our mission of improving the health of all people. To accomplish this, we will focus on four key areas: 1. Developing a robust research infrastructure that will support our efforts to advance personalized and population medicine. This will include the creation of new research centers, the expansion of existing centers, and the development of new partnerships with other organizations. 2. Building a world-class center for innovation that will help us achieve our mission of improving the health of all people. This will include the creation of a new Innovation District, the expansion of our existing research facilities, and the development of new partnerships with other organizations. 3. The Center’s mission is to advance the science of global health and to improve the health of people worldwide. The Center is led by Dr. Michael J. Ryan, a professor of International Health at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, and Dr. O’Neill, a professor of International Health at the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health. The Center’s research focuses on infectious diseases, including emerging and re-emerging diseases, and the development of new tools and technologies to combat these diseases. The Center also conducts research on the social, economic, and environmental factors that contribute to the spread of infectious diseases. The Center’s work is supported by a team of researchers, clinicians, and other experts from around the world. The Center’s research has led to significant advancements in the field of global health, including the development of new vaccines and treatments for infectious diseases.
